The JBL Control 25-1 is a compact two-way installation speaker for background music, foreground playback and speech in restaurants, retail spaces, hospitality venues and outdoor areas. Its 5.25-inch woven-fibreglass woofer and 0.75-inch PEI tweeter combine with 100° × 100° coverage to serve a broad listening area from a compact wall-mounted enclosure.
Use its built-in transformer for a 70V or 100V distributed system, or select the 8-ohm THRU setting for a compatible low-impedance amplifier. The included InvisiBall mounting system allows the speaker to be positioned and aimed to suit the installation. Sold as one speaker.
Key Features
- Two-way driver system — A 135mm woven-fibreglass woofer with butyl-rubber surround works with a 19mm PEI-diaphragm tweeter for music and voice reproduction.
- Wide listening coverage — Nominal 100° horizontal × 100° vertical coverage supports background and foreground audio across the listening space.
- Flexible amplifier connection — Selectable 70V/100V transformer taps and an 8-ohm THRU setting accommodate distributed or low-impedance systems.
- Indoor/outdoor construction — A high-impact polystyrene enclosure and zinc-plated, powder-coated grille support weather-resistant installation, with a standard IP44 rating.
- Optional enhanced weather protection — IP55 protection requires the optional WeatherMax grille together with an MTC-PC2 or MTC-PC3 panel cover. These accessories are not part of the standard speaker configuration.
- Included InvisiBall mounting system — An adjustable wall-mount system helps aim the speaker toward the intended listening area.
- Compact enclosure — The cabinet measures 243 × 188 × 145mm, with a total installed depth of 203mm on the InvisiBall bracket.
